Key Stage 1 · ages 5 to 7
Key Stage 1 computing: what your child learns
In Years 1 and 2, children learn that an algorithm is a set of precise instructions and that a program carries those instructions out on a digital device. They create simple programs, find and fix mistakes, and predict what a program will do. They also make, save and find their own digital work, spot technology used beyond school, and learn to keep personal information private and who to ask for help.
